I’ve loved playing and being involved in all sports.
Living in Melbourne Australia the first sport I fell in love with was Aussie rules.
At the age of 9 my parents moved to Cardiff and that started my life long love affair with rugby.
Along the way I played for South Glamorgan Schools U19, was captain at Bath University, represented English Universities and played 3 seasons for Coventry in the Championship.
In my 30’s I took up rowing and discovered I was quite good on the Ergo and managed to win the European Championships (40+) in 2011 and have got a personal best of 6mins 08 seconds. I’ve also raced in boats at Henley Royal Regatta 4 times
I’ve completed an Ironman Event (3.8Km swim, 180Km Bike, 42K marathon run at Henley in 2011 in a time of 11hrs 54.
My main sporting focus at the moment is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu where I train and compete regularly. My 2 biggest Achievements have been Double Gold at IBJJF European No Gi and
NAGA double gold in Masters Expert level.
Currently I am a purple belt and train at Oxford Shootfighters.
Throughout my career I’ve trained lots in the gym and run some classes locally in Headington, Oxford for conditioning and stretching.
